Jennifer Sherman, LPC ~ Director of Outpatient ServicesJennifer Sherman

Jennifer Sherman, LPC is the Director of Intercept’s Community Based Services and oversees Intercept’s Lifebridge Counseling practice. Jennifer has experience providing counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of clinical settings including in-patient, out-patient, and in the community. She specializes in issues related to traumatic stress, childhood behavioral and attachment disorders, parent training, depression, anxiety, and crisis intervention. Jennifer is an approved Clinical Supervisor and enjoys supervising Residents in Counseling.

Amanda BeverlyAmanda Beverly, MA, LPC, CSOTP ~ Outpatient Therapist

Amanda is a Licensed Profession Counselor and a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider who began her professional career in 2001 as a law enforcement officer working on both local and federal levels.  Amanda has experience working in community based services and outpatient settings.  Amanda specializes in providing psycho-sexual risk assessments and therapy for adolescents and adults who have engaged in inappropriate sexual behaviors, while also specializing in working with victims of physical and sexual abuse.  In addition Amanda enjoys providing therapy for individuals with depression, personality disorders, behavioral problems, learning disabilities and substance abuse.  Amanda believes in creating an emphatic and safe environment for individuals and families to work towards change.

Jessica Niedermeier, MA, LPC ~Outpatient TherapistJessica Niedermeier

Jessica is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years experience working with children, teens and adults.  She has provided treatment in a variety of settings including schools, homes, and the community.  Jessica specializes in anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger management, school/work challenges, grief/loss, life adjustment and relational problems.  Jessica partners with individuals, couples and families to encourage and motivate them to strive to reach their goals.  When Jessica is not working she loves to travel with family and friends, exploring new places.  She tries to enjoy the little things in life because they become the big things.

Mark Martin

Mark D. Martin, LCSW ~ Outpatient Therapist

Mark is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience working with children (ages 3 and up), adolescents and families in a variety of settings.  Mark specializes in working with anxiety, anger, autism, ADHD, ODD, LGBT issues, depression, grief/loss and couples therapy.  Mark utilizes play therapy techniques in sessions with children and families. Mark takes a person center approach by active listening and encouraging  individuals to make the changes they desire. He  uses a strengths based approach  to help individuals build upon their strengths to create the changes they would like to see in their life. In his free time Mark, enjoys spending time with his family & friends, grilling out, cooking, antique shopping, reading, writing and going on cruises.

Chris Torre, MA, Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy ~Outpatient Therapist

Chris TorreChris is a Resident in Counseling with over 10 years experience working with children, adolescents, and families.  He has experience providing therapy is variety of settings including schools, home, community and in psychiatric inpatient hospital settings.  Chris specializes in emotional and behavioral disorders as well as academic and family issues.  He utilizes a variety of methodologies in order to best fit the treatment with the individual.  Chris specializes in Cognitive Behavioral therapies, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Trauma Treatments.  When Chris is not working he enjoys cooking, gardening, singing, playing guitar and building computers.

 

Eugenia Lindsey, BSN, Med, MSW, LCSW ~ Outpatient TherapistEugenia Lindsey

Eugenia began as a child therapist in Roanoke in 1994, specializing in grief, trauma and loss issues of children and families with addictions.  Eugenia has worked in adaptive counseling and foster care placement cases and  provided expert witness testimony in social and abuse cases throughout the state of Virginia.  Most recently she has provided counseling for refugee and immigration cases for those seeking political amnesty.

Eugenia has a graduate degree in Special Education, an undergraduate degree in Nursing Science & Psychology,  a Master’s degree and PhD studies in Social Work and research.  Eugenia is fluent in Spanish, has provided public health education in 14 countries.  Eugenia’s best work so far is being a mother for her two grown sons.

 

Martha Foy, PhD, LPC ~ Outpatient CounselorMartha Foy

Martha is a licensed professional counselor with a PhD in Family Studies and over 30 years in the mental health field.  She works with individuals (preteen to geriatric), couples, and families. She enjoys working with self-referred clients & clients who have been referred by schools, courts, employers, or others.  Martha’s areas of expertise include mood disorders, women’s issues, trauma recovery, addictions, stress management, identity issues, chronic pain, and family conflict.  She genuinely enjoys getting to know new clients, fully assessing their needs, and encouraging them to help themselves.  When not working, Martha enjoys spending time with her family and pets, collecting and creating art, traveling, and assisting with animal rescue work.  She looks forward to meeting you!

Katriel Heller

 

Katri Heller, MS, LPC ~ Outpatient Counselor

Katri has been helping children and their families in the community, school and home setting since 2000.  Her areas of  specialty include; solution focused brief therapy, structural family therapy, and behavioral therapy and interventions. Additionally, Katri has training in substance abuse/addictions counseling, sport psychology and athletic performance training. Katri’s goal in counseling is to help individuals and families learn communication skills and the means to express feelings in order to improve their relationships and self-esteem.

 

Brigette Funk, LPC ~ Outpatient CounselorBrigette Funk

Brigette is a Licensed Professional Counselor who began her career in mental health in 2009.  Brigette has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, in a variety of settings including homes, schools, outpatient, and the community.  She enjoys providing therapy for individuals with anxiety, depression, behavior problems, marital/family conflict, and those struggling with major life transitions.  In her spare time, Brigette enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new foods, and attending social events.

Tracy is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings.  Tracy specializes in working with mood disorders, emotional reactivity and behavioral disorders.  Tracy utilizes an integrative approach based on the individual’s needs, strengths and goals.

 

 

Genna Ray, LCSW ~ Outpatient CounselorGeena Ray
Geena is a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field.  She has experience working, with children, adolescents, and families. Geena’s areas of expertise include behavioral disorders, anxiety, depression, and attachment and adjustment disorders.  She is currently working on her certification in play therapy.  In her spare time, Geena enjoys spending time with family and friends.

 

 

Maria Weaver ~ Office Manager

therapist photos_Page_8Maria is LifeBridge Counseling’s Senior Billing Specialist and Office Manager.  Maria manages all of the insurance and billing needs of our practice.  She recently joined our team in January of 2016.  Prior to LifeBridge Counseling Maria spent 20 years as an insurance specialist of an optometrist practice in the Roanoke Valley. Recently, she felt she needed something that would give her more sense of pride in helping others through difficult times.  Maria left the  optometrist practice to help make a lasting positive impact.  In her spare time she loves to cook, travel, read and spend time with her family.

 

Kathleen Moriarty ~  Administrative Assistant

Kathleen MoriartyKathleen (“Kat”) Moriarty is the Administrative Assistant and your first point of contact for LifeBridge Counseling. She will assist in matching individuals to the best and most appropriate providers, scheduling appointments, makes referrals and can also assist with insurance questions. Kat has been in the mental health and substance abuse fields for over ten years as a support staff member. She enjoys assisting people to find the help that they need to best improve themselves and their life. When she’s not working she enjoys spending time with her cats, Finn and Gus, reading and crocheting.
